The Australian Water Association Limited is a not-for-profit organisation, constituted under the Corporations Act 2001 as a company limited by guarantee.

The Board of Directors, a Strategic Advisory Council and the Governance and Audit Committee is responsible for guiding and directing the Association.

The Board comprises a President, Vice President and a maximum of seven other directors. The Board is nominated by AWA’s Strategic Advisory Council, and ratified at the Annual General meeting.
